This piece actually ended up cracking.

kinda messing around with a piece of matte board (my sweet new photo-studio), an older piece and some other stuff. Only had a spot to work with so the bottom of the piece is blown out.

This is a bowl I made this past Saturday. I shot the piece on the floor which really hurt my neck, so I now realize I'm have to rig up a little tabletop shooting space in my place. If anyone has any ideas or has set up a studio or something along those lines
tips would be much appreciated.

If you have noticed lately, I have not been updating regularly, even though I have been making and or finishing at least a couple a day. The frustrating part and what caused me to delay the update is the fact that I feel bad, half-assing the shots. One thing I will be evolving away from is me uploading images of pieces that I did that same day. Trust me having to do that is a pain in the ass, so I figured that "365 pieces in 365 days" is a more suitable title.

24th piece

This is a maple baseball bat I just made. Pitchers and catchers report on the 13th so I thought I would get ready for the season. My main summertime hobby is hitting baseballs which is much more fun when you make your own bats. There are thousands of different tapers the major leaguers use. This is something like my 25th bat I have made and each one gets a little closer to the magic taper. The three types of wood baseball bats are made out of are Maple, Ash and Hickory.

23rd piece

This is a piece which concept has changed over this past year. The original used the glass sculpture to produce a shadow/drawing on the surface. Recently I drew the original shadow and then gave the piece a different angled light source. So there are now two shadows - one drawn(fake) the other real. Believe it or not all humans are pretty observant - they can see the relation of both sets of marks because they have observed their own shadows changing in dramatically with the placement of the sun. As I have mentioned in past posts - These marks are very pure in my eyes because my hand was distanced from the surface when the glass sculpture, shadow and drawings were made. I also have a performence piece which goes along with the glass sculpture which I may upload down the road.

22nd piece

This is a piece I made 20 minutes ago. Even though I had the camera set up for tripod shooting I still think the images came out nice. The one on the bottom is what it looks like when my eyes are burning with sweat.

Since I have skipped some days I will try to periodically catch up by updating a couple pieces on certain days.

This was one of my worst days blowing in a long time. Usually when things don't go well I make easy floppy bowls, and this time only one turned out nice. I'm going over to my painting studio now

I photographed some of my ceramic pieces with my new camera. Please let me know which ones of the multiples is the most successful especially those of you who have taken tabletop studio photography. You can describe the piece by saying 5th from the bottom or something like that. Thanks a ton in advance for those of you who comment with some input.
